An open meeting (request access necessary). Icelandic Ögmundur Jónasson will
address his colleague parliamentarians and introduce John Shipton and
Kristinn Hrafnsson. Eva Joly will talk about Sweden’s and Europe’s handling of Julian Assange.
BOOK-EVENT at Tronsmo book store in Oslo with a focus on current literature on Assange and whistleblowing. Former editor
Arne Ruth and John Shipton will introduce UN rapporteur against torture,
Nils Melzer’sbook “Julian Assange, a story of persecution”. Professor
Gisle Selnes , will present his coming book, “Forfølgelsen av Julian Assange”
, co-authored by Frode Helmich-Pedersen. Followed by a Q&A led by film-director/journalist professor
Erling Borgen with Eva Joly, Deepa Driver and Ögmundur Jónasson.
A TRIBUTE to Julian Assange, Wikileaks and the Freedom of Publication a celebration of freedom and hope at Jakob Culture Church in Oslo.
